The Latvian poet Ziedonis once said- there is plenty of beauty in Latvia, you just have to help yourself to reveal it. We think that we could go a step further (or perhaps a step in another direction?), and help you to discover places that not only are beautiful, but positively related to nature, environment, sustainable development and responsible choices. In order to make it a bit more interesting we have chosen to try our hand in geocaching- a game, which is well known all over the world and in which literally millions of people are participating. Believe it or not, but the caches are hidden in nearly every country of the world, every continent and every single latitude!

How does it work? We have hidden an object in a size of palm- in a place, which, in our opinion, is worth to see, not only because the place is simply interesting, but also because it is related to environment and nature-friendly lifestyle. In each description of the cache you will information on where exactly is the object located and clues on how to make finding easier. It is not always that cache is easy to find, it might be really well hidden and even quite challenging to your observation and dexterity skills. Once you’ve found the cache, your task is to write your name at the book, leave the cache at the exactly same place you found it and mark the cache as found at geocaching.com.

The list of ‘’homo ecos’’ caches will continue to be updated frequently, and if you have ideas about some other environment-friendly and natural places, where we could place a new cache- write us and we will figure out together how to make it happen!
