Discussion on renewable energies

„Science cafe” discussion on „How sun and wind can work for us” took place On 1st of March at 18.00 in the "EU house " (Aspazijas bulvāris 28)

Main issues this time were renewable energy resources – green energy, which is possible get from sun and wind. Discussion was hosted by Juris Šteinbergs – scientist and well known TV person. Physical Energy Institute senior researcher Pēteris Šipkovs, researchers from Latvian University Solid State Physics Institute Inta Muzikante and Boriss Poļakovs and director of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Department Valdis Bisters participated in the discussion as experts.

The aim of “Science cafe” is to have a discussion about current and public interesting scientific questions in non-formal atmosphere over a cup of coffee. It is a great opportunity to meet the experts from particular field, ask questions and find answers.
