Interactive quest “Think Global, Act Local”S!”
Saturday 21 September 2014 | 15:00 – 18:00 | Riga’s Old Town
Do you realize that everything you do has an impact on the world? And that you can actually make a global change through small, local initiatives? That is the idea behind the slogan “Think Global, Act Local!”, which is used by environmental activists around the world. And it is also the theme of the youth event organized by Lapas.lv on Sunday 21 September.
From 15:00 to 18:00 you will find a number of posts spread out throughout Riga’s Old Town. In each of these posts, you are invited to do a task which will help you explore your personal relationship to the world, global society and the environment.
You will begin your quest at Rīgas Valsts 1.ģimnāzija. Here you will be given a map with all the six stops, and your personal “travel card”. The six stops are:
Rīgas Valsts 1.ģimnāzija – „Attīstības brīdis”
Various interactive educational workshops, led by Jaunatnes Attīstības un Sadarbības Multikulturālās Apvienības.

We will end our quest at youth center BaMbuss (Brīvības iela 204) with good music, some snacks and a lottery.
