Call for Partners: “Small Footprint, Big Impact”
We are looking for youth organisations to be partners with us in our project: “Small Footprint, Big Impact” Training course on earth-friendly event planning.
About the project
Festivals, (international) trainings, seminars and workshops – these are all great ways to learn, have fun and exchange ideas between young people. But unfortunately, the impact of such events is not only positive. Like all our activities, events (large and small!) can have quite a negative impact on our planet. Think of the fuel burnt to transport people there, the energy used to heat and light the location, the waste produced, the food consumed.
Young event organizers in Europe seem to become more and more aware about their negative environmental footprint, but they may not always know how to make their event more sustainable – or how to convince their colleagues and participants to join in the effort.
The aim of the project is to spread eco-friendly practices among young organisers and youth workers in order to lower the negative environmental impact of youth events.
When August 2016 – April 2017 (training course 22-29 October 2016)
