Green Lifestyle

Green Lifestyle

There are always plenty of valuable, fulfilling events regarding the environment, sustainable development, climate, green lifestyle and other important issues going on in Latvia and abroad. Through collaboration with different national and international organizations we often have the opportunity to invite our friends and like-minded people to various informal educational youth events – such as seminars, workshops and conferences.

Usually, our followers and volunteers are invited to these evenst first. So, if  you don’t want to miss any opportunities to join these fun and educational events, become a “homo ecos:” follower or volunteer!

Past events:

In 2011, “homo ecos:” was represented at the European Youth Meeting for Sustainable Development by Zanda Skuja. (More info in Latvian, or read Zanda’s blog in English)

The Latvian countryside is beautiful, but unfortunately often spoiled by piles of garbage left by passers-by. One of “homo ecos:” first projects was Take a Paper Bag!, which ran from 2007 to 2009. Paper bags were handed out at petrol stations, encouraging people to take their own trash to a garbage container after a picknick or a hike. (More info in Latvian)
